Community Supported Agriculture or CSA
fresh, locally grown vegetables and fruit
Support your local farmer!
Purchase a CSA share and support your local farmer. Community Supported Agriculture or CSA as it is often called is defined by the USDA as a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farmland becomes the community’s farm” Traditionally, CSA models see members purchasing a share of the farmer’s production before the growing season begins and receiving their bounty throughout the season. As a result of this, farmers are able to receive the capital and financial security needed and can distribute crops at a better price, which helps the community.
Picnic Rock Farms, LLC offers both a summer and a fall CSA. When you purchase a CSA share by April 1st you will receive a 20% discount off of ten weekly pickups of fresh fruits and vegetables, along with a loaf of bread baked at our bakery. We also offer a flower and herb CSA where you receive the herb of the week along with a beautiful bouquet of cut flowers from our farm. We offer two pickup days, Tuesdays or Thursdays.
Applications will be accepted beginning in February.
